BOUNDARIES, LIMITATIONS AND FREEDOM

I started out by looking at the Christian art movement over the centuries, studying the decryptions and coding that have been placed in the altarpieces and paintings. Symbolism and colours have always been used to help tell stories. I am having a time of discovery and experimenting putting them together to create coded abstract work. 

I have now added alongside these a Neuroscience and Biblical theory, that is, that we as humans thrive and feel secure with Boundaries and with Limitations. 

Oscar Murillo Turner Prize winning Artist describes some of his work as

 “ a manifestation of an attitude, which is larger than one’s self”. 

This I believe is true of my organic process of layering and gestural work. Each and every canvas conceals a unique hidden narrative. 

My art is an expression of my inner emotions and faith. One might call me a Process Painter using colour and multi disciplines of processing to convey an inner conversation with the painting and myself.
